The new Aeroad has already raced to the next level since its launch, with big wins, dream reviews, and top test results.
The new Aeroad is the race bike of choice for both the best sprinters and climbers in the world, sealing its status as an all-round dream machine.
At the Tour de France in July, Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) sliced through the wind on his Aeroad to take three sprint stages. Led out to victory by Mathieu van der Poel, the pair once again stamped their authority on the bunch sprints, forming the fastest tandem in the sport.
A month later, Kasia Niewiadoma (CANYON//SRAM Racing) raced her new Aeroad on every stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift from the flats to the high mountains. She took the yellow jersey – and a very special yellow version of the bike too – on stage five, which she held in thrilling fashion to the end of the race.
Breakout star Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) also won the white jersey for best young rider and an Ardennes classics-style stage at the race, proving the bike’s versatility across all terrain.
As the road world championships in Zurich approach this month, keep an eye out for all-new Aeroads on the attack, chasing speed dreams.
Since the new Aeroad’s launch in July, almost all of the major cycling publications have reviewed the bike in depth, with the results an outstanding success.
TOUR magazine from Germany awarded the bike their best ever 1.5 ‘dream result’, Cyclingnews from the UK 4.5 out of 5, and Road.cc 9 out of 10.

At the start of the development phase for each new Aeroad, our engineers are set the challenge to ensure that the next generation remains the fastest bike in the peloton.
We’re delighted to confirm that they succeeded once again.
In recent wind tunnel testing, we pitted the new Aeroad against its main current competitors in the UCI WorldTour, the Cervelo S5 and the Specialized Tarmac SL8. Our testing* placed the Cervélo S5 as its nearest competitor, 2.5 watts behind the new Aeroad.
And in terms of the classic aero vs weight dilemma, the new Aeroad delivers on both fronts with a size M Aeroad CFR Di2 tipping the scales at just 7.07 kg out of the box. In practice, the aero gains on the new Aeroad enable the rider more freedom to optimise other areas of their setup.
For example, the new Aeroad with 50 mm deep rims is as efficient aerodynamically as the previous generation with 62 mm rims, meaning the rider can opt for an overall setup that is lighter and offers better handling. For this reason, 50 mm rim depths are now the standard across all new Aeroad models.
It delivers the best of all worlds.
