What’s special about Canyon sizing?

Over the last 30 years, we’ve grown our expertise in bike sizing. Our product engineers have developed a unique system that differs from traditional sizing models based on seat tube length.
We size all our bikes separately by taking into account the geometry of the whole bike and its intended use. Our approach to sizing bikes means each model has unique characteristics and measurements.
Where you may have fit a large with another manufacturer you may well find that a medium Canyon bike is a much better fit.

How does the tool work?

We’ve collected over 15,000 data points that we use to determine your perfect frame size.
Our algorithm compares the ratio of your body height to your inner leg length to determine your ideal Canyon size. In addition, it also recommends a seat height range, and checks to make sure the bike you're browsing can accommodate your seat height.
We've found that 98% of people, when inputting correct data, will receive their ideal frame size when using our tool.

Overlapping sizes

If our tool tells you that you can fit on more than one size, check to make sure that you can achieve your ideal seat height on both possible frame sizes. If you can, then you get to pick between the two sizes, taking into consideration your riding style and your personal preference.
The bike with the smaller frame will be lower and shorter, giving you a more compact position on the bike. It will be nimble, agile, and more lively underneath you.
The larger frame will have your body more stretched over the bike because it will be longer and higher. It will be more a more planted ride and you'll feel more stable at speed when riding in a straight line.
