Canyon warranty and guarantee

You’re covered by a 2 year warranty and 6 year guarantee that run at the same time. This page explains our warranty and guarantee, what’s covered, and how to make a claim.

What is warranty and what does it cover?

The 2 year warranty covers Canyon engineered parts such as the frame, forks, cockpit and seatpost. It starts the day the bike is delivered to the first owner.

Parts from original component manufacturers, for example DT Swiss, are also covered for a minimum of two years unless stated otherwise. The warranty only covers material and processing defects that already existed on delivery.

The warranty is linked to the bike, not the owner. That means if you’ve bought the bike second hand and it’s less than 2 years old, you can still make a claim. Although we may ask you for proof of purchase.

Canyon will cover any associated rebuilding, shipping and customs charges for successful warranty claims.

You can also take your bike directly to a Canyon authorised service partner for inspection if you’d rather leave it to the experts or you’re unsure of the issue.

What is guarantee and what does it cover?

The 6 year guarantee covers Canyon engineered parts such as frame, forks, cockpits and seatposts*. It starts the day the bike is delivered and runs alongside the warranty. It doesn’t apply to third party components.

The guarantee only covers material and processing defects that already existed on delivery. It is only available to the original owner of the bike and cannot be transferred. If replacement part’s aren’t available in your original colour you will be offered an alternative.

If you’re not covered by the guarantee, or you’re unsure of the issue, you can take your bike directly to a Canyon authorised service partner for inspection.

*The Canyon-branded batteries in some of our e-bikes are only covered for 2 years or 500 charging cycles, whichever comes first. The batteries are designed to hold 70% of their original performance within this period. The Stitched CFR Trial also has a 2 year guarantee.

What isn’t covered by warranty and guarantee?

Here’s a few examples of what we don’t cover:

  • Accidental damage caused by a collision, drop or similar external force*
  • Wear and tear through use or lack of care
  • Damage caused by corrosion
  • Damage caused by using the bike outside of its intended category rating
  • Colour changes due to environmental factors or cleaning products

For a full breakdown of what is and isn’t covered, see here. If you’re not covered by the warranty or guarantee, or you’re unsure, you can take your bike directly to a Canyon authorised service partner for inspection. Alternatively, you can find replacement parts using our spare parts finder.

*You may be able to replace the damaged part using our Crash Replacement program.
